Who We Are
SIIION is a service based around a range of multi asset class funds, each designed to be managed around a consistent risk profile for the specific needs of investors in the service.
Ocaris Wealth Management Ltd (Ocaris) in their role as financial planners, has developed the SIIION service to bring together specialist partner firms to meet the specific needs of investors and will act on behalf of investors to ensure that other parties deliver on the SIIION principles.
At the centre of the service is the MGTS SIIION funds. The funds are operated by Margetts Fund Management Ltd (MGTS) for the specific requirements of SIIION investors. MGTS have full responsibility for the management and operation of the funds. More information about MGTS can be found by visiting their website. MGTS work with Ocaris to appoint the most appropriate investment management, which is independent of both parties
Sentinel Portfolio Management (Sentinel) has been appointed as the investment manager. Their investment philosophy is to take investments back to basics, challenging the current investment management marketplace on approach and cost.
The Bank of New York Mellon (International) Ltd has been appointed as the depositary and custodian of the MGTS SIIION funds. It is their responsibility to ensure that the funds’ assets are held in safekeeping and separate to other parties involved.

Our Journey
The SIIION vision is founded in a belief that retail clients don't have to sacrifice service levels for a more competiitvely charged investment solution. There are five main areas of focus;
- Simple: we didn't want to confuse clients or to over complicate the investment journey.
- Cost: the solution had to be competitively charged without compromising quality.
- Service: client focused service where access to quality reporting and real people existed.
- Access: availability across all product types so that financial planning didn't restrict investment decisions.
- Outsourced: being free to access the best investment managers in the market and to remain impartial was key.
Beliefs & Methodology
The SIIION investment philosophy is shaped by a belief that traditional asset allocation methodology fails to deliver optimal outcomes for investors whether via a 60/40 type model or an arbitrarily created index. Based on investment experience and academic research the MGTS SIIION funds have been designed to take a risk-based approach to populate portfolios with assets that encompass the most attractive risk versus reward characteristics.
The MGTS SIIION funds have been designed to provide flexibility and allow the investment manager to implement conviction ideas. For example, if the investment manager feels that the UK equity market is unattractive, on the basis that potential returns are outweighed by the potential risks, then they do not have to hold 10% in UK equities because a benchmark holds 20%, they can hold nothing.
With conviction comes risk, therefore if the investment manager is confident about the prospects for a niche market, then they may take a position but will limit the weighting, acknowledging that niche markets can be inherently more risky than mainstream markets. The MGTS SIIION funds offer a high level of diversification, but every position will have justified its inclusion on merit.
Capital is at risk. Investments and derived income can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than invested.
